FOSTER CARERS NEEDED! Home Sweet Home are looking for Foster carers for cats all across South Australia. Due to size constraints, we are not able to house all cats that are surrendered and are seeking foster carers to care for these. Please contact us ASAP if you are interested in this.
We are an animal rescue, rehabilitation, release and rehoming centre for dogs and cats, native wildlife and farm animals based in Renmark, South Australia. We are run completely by volunteers and funded solely by our staff and donations.
Dogs and Cats We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs and cats from varied pasts who are in need of loving forever homes. We also train and socialise puppies and kittens that have been abandoned. All of our cats and dogs come fully vaccinated, desexed and microchipped for ID purposes. If you are interested in one of our dogs or cats, and feel you can offer them the perfect forever home, please do not hesitate to contact us and come and visit them at the shelter today.
Native Wildlife and Birds
Native wildlife make up the majority of the animals in our shelter. We take in animals from kangaroos to possums and from Rainbow Lorikeets to Magpies. We also rescue and rehabilitate caged birds that have been neglected or mistreated in their previous homes. The biggest issue facing caged birds is lack of entertainment and stimulation. We release the native wildlife where possible and occasionally rehome the caged birds to new and stimulating homes. If you are interested in a bird, please get in touch with us.
Farm Animals Occasionally Home Sweet Home will rescue and rehabilitate small farm animals such as goats, pigs and sheep. Please let us know if you are interested in foster caring or being a new home for one of these animals.
